Kambi Group, a leading business-to-business sportsbook supplier, has had a productive fall season filled with exciting announcements and changes. In September, the company extended its partnership with ATG, a prominent horse racing and sports betting company in Sweden.
Moving into October, Kambi sealed a deal to power 711’s sportsbook in the Netherlands and also agreed to provide its cutting-edge sportsbook technology for LiveScore Group’s Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet brands. These partnerships are a testament to Kambi’s commitment to revolutionizing the sports betting experience for players worldwide.
Following the release of its Q3 report, which highlighted the significance of recent partnerships, and the news of its sponsorship of the EGR Power LatAm Summit 2023 in Rio de Janeiro, Kambi made a major announcement regarding a change in leadership. Lars Stugemo, who has served as the chair of the board of directors for nearly a decade, notified the nomination committee of his decision to step down from his position. Stugemo expressed his gratitude for the remarkable journey he had with Kambi and praised co-founder Anders Ström for his inspiring leadership.
Anders Ström, also the founder of the Kindred Group, has been appointed to replace Stugemo as the new chair of the board. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Ström is poised to lead Kambi into its next phase of growth and success. He expressed his honor at being chosen for the role and his enthusiasm for guiding the company through its commercial momentum and recent partner signings, which have strengthened Kambi’s position in the industry and set the stage for further growth.
As a current member of the board of directors and the nomination committee, Ström had no involvement in the process that led to his appointment. Nevertheless, he is prepared to leverage his expertise to drive Kambi’s success and continue to elevate the world of sports betting.
