Flutter Entertainment, the gaming giant behind UKI-facing brands such as Sky Betting and Gaming, Paddy Power, and Betfair, is considering a partnership to target the growing female customer base in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The company is looking to team up with a high potential startup as part of its Alpha Hub program, with the aim of engaging female players in the region.

The company’s goal is to tailor a product specifically to the unique playstyle of female players, who are more likely to discover gambling through social circles and focus on social and community gaming. Flutter wants to provide these players with a digital entertainment destination that allows them to unwind, have fun, and relax. However, the company is also open to ideas that do not fit this description, allowing applicants to explore different products and experiences for customers.

The partnership with the winning startup will provide a commercial partnership with Flutter, opportunities to scale their solution across the UK and Ireland, participation in a demo day to showcase their business, workshops and networking with senior Flutter leadership, and access to Alpha Hub Startup Support.

Sky Betting & Gaming’s chief commercial officer, Steve Birch, expressed excitement about the opportunity, stating, “We see this as a really exciting gap in the market, and we’re looking forward to finding and partnering with innovative startups through the Alpha Hub program to seize this opportunity.”

Startups have until March 15 to submit their applications for consideration. This initiative reflects Flutter Entertainment’s commitment to targeting and engaging the increasingly important female customer base in the UK and Ireland.
