Dabble, a new Australian social betting platform, has announced its plans to expand into the US market after successfully launching in Australia in 2020. The platform offers a range of socially-charged betting experiences, allowing users to follow others, chat with friends and fellow bettors, comment on other players’ bets, and even copy others’ bets, mirroring the features that make social media platforms popular.

In October 2023, Dabble made its foray into the US, offering daily fantasy sports instead of traditional sports betting, while still providing the social features that have garnered popularity in Australia.

The United States has always been a key market for Dabble, currently available in 20 US states with over 450,000 registered users. The platform ranks among the top 10 sports apps on the US App Store, competing with established names in the sports betting and fantasy sports industry. The company now aims to surpass 1 million registered accounts by the end of June 2024, signaling a doubling down on its operations in the country.

To achieve this, Dabble plans to introduce new games and game modes, including free-to-play, peer-to-peer, and sweepstakes, as well as adding more sports to its product lineup, targeting a broader audience of sports fans. Currently, Dabble offers fantasy sports for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, as well as college football and basketball.

Additionally, the company intends to launch in more states, aiming to secure daily fantasy sports licenses in an additional 5-10 states. There is also potential for the company to seek sports betting licenses in some states, although this is acknowledged as a more costly move. Dabble also plans to diversify its payment options and enhance its social features to cater to its expanding user base.
